Covering the latest requirements of the Energy-related Products (ErP) Directive with a summary of legislation’s objectives and enforcement. The CPD includes system design, heat recovery, the latest construction methods, and integral controls.
Refreshes knowledge of basic principles of heat pump technology and a typical vapour compression cycle. The CPD also introduces a trans‐critical vapour compression cycle and provides a basic understanding of CO2 as a refrigerant as well as explaining how trans‐critical heat pumps work.
Offers a general understating of Health Technical Memoranda (HTM) which gives advice and guidance on the design, installation and operation of specialised building and engineering technology used in the delivery of healthcare. The CPD goes on to explain the importance of the HTM regulations when designing a ventilation system incorporating AHUs for a healthcare facility.
Provides information on the basic principles of heat pump technology focussing on how polyvalent heat pumps work, their advantages, and how they can be applied. Polyvalent heat pumps are most effective when operating in simultaneous heating and cooling mode, making use of the otherwise rejected heat produced from the production of chilled water.
